Intro to Agroforestry - July 26th from 4pm to 6pm

In this workshop we will cover the basics of Silvopasture and Forest Farming, both within the realm of Agroforestry.

We utilize beyond-organic and regenerative agricultural practices that work with nature instead of exploiting it. In this two hour workshop, we will walk you through the agricultural systems we have implemented on the farm for the last 8+ years including earthworks with passive irrigation systems, planting designs, crop diversification, mushroom production, forest stewardship, rotational grazing, basics of animal husbandry and woodland medicinals.

We'll have a little pop-up market afterwards with our other farm offerings, including grafted fruit and nut trees, herbal products from the Apothecary and our fresh mushrooms.

WHAT TO BRING/NOT BRING:

We thank you for not bringing your pet.

Bring a notebook and pen to take notes, pictures are welcome.

This workshop will be held outside so come prepared for hot/sunny weather. Bring a hat, sunscreen, bug-spray, water bottle.

Home-grown Herbal Iced Tea and fresh spring water will be provided.

AMENITIES: Our current bathroom is an outdoor composting toilet, equipped with everything you need. We don’t offer indoor bathrooms at the moment.
