Here in Kentucky, we use Black Republican as a pollinator cherry for tart cherries, which we can more readily grow here. However, if you are in a climate less susceptible to late frosts, this is a great sweet cherry to grow! It’s always worth a try as well, with the climate changing, and totally worth it if you can taste this fruit. It is exceptional!
Rootstock: Mazzard
Size at maturity: 16-20’
Pollination: Pollinate with Rainier
